Email update from Travis Switala (pm session) on September 11, 2022. Travis writes "After graduation I attended college for a few semesters before enlisting the Air Force as an intelligence analyst. While my occupation is not in the medical field, I still find the professional education helpful as I go about my work as a member of the Armed Forces."

Mrs. Birchler crossed paths with Scott LaMont (pm session) at a Garber football game on September 9, 2022. Scott will finish an Education degree after he completes his student teaching next semester. Scott is majoring in theater and minoring in history. Scott will be on stage at the Bay City Players, performing in "Something Rotten!" September 23-25 and September 30-October 2.
Mrs. Birchler was at Buoy 18 playing putt putt with her grandson On July 29, 2020 when she saw a familiar face behind her. It was Aryssa McPhee (am session). Aryssa currently has a full time job in housekeeping at the Bay County Medical Care Facility.
Mrs. Birchler was mall walking with Dr. Musselman on January 7, 2020 when a voice called out. It was Micaela Meylan (am session) who just took a new job at Aftershock in the Midland Mall. Micaela is starting her second semester at Delta College and still plans a transfer to CMU after two years at Delta.
Email update from Emma Boulton (am session) received July 2, 2019: "I got accepted into Oakland University, I got 2 scholarships from them, and I’ll be studying exercise science with a concentration in PT! I’m so excited!! I’m waitressing at the Bavarian inn in Frankenmuth all summer to help pay for it!
Email update from Mary-Lynn Wilson (am session) received July 1, 2019: " I enrolled at Henry Ford Community College I start classes in the fall. I decided to move down there to meet new people and new experiences also to see my grandma and second family more. I plan to go there for 2-3 years and then transfer to Ferris State to The School of Optometry. I also hope to get a office job at a eye doctor's office or anything in the medical field while going to school. I'm excited for this new chapter of my life even though I will miss everyone I know in Bay City."
Email update from Micaela Meylan (am session) received June 25, 2019. Micaela will be starting classes in the fall at Delta College and plans to transfer to CMU after two years, ultimately achieving a DPT degree.
Email update from Nik Wilber (am session) received June 25, 2019. Nik is currently working at Perani's Hockey World on Bay Road in Saginaw and is finishing up his certification as a personal trainer. He hopes to switch to full time work at a local gym in the Bay City/Saginaw area as soon as he completes his certification.
Mrs. Birchler saw Jacob Jeffrey who works at the Dow Bay Area Family Y on June 24, 2019. Jacob graduated from Western High School - Class of 2019 - and will begin the 3+1 business management program at Delta College this fall. He will finish the program and receive his degree from Northwood University.
Email update on January 12, 2019 from Kassidy Zuchnik (am session). Kassidy visited both CMU and GVSU and has decided to attend CMU. She loved both campuses but CMU gave her more academic scholarship money and it's closer to home. Kassidy plans to major in exercise science and would like to get her DPT from CMU as well.
Email update on October 1, 2018 from Mary-Lynn Wilson (am session). Mary-Lynn has a co-op position in an allergist's office working in medical records. The office does not have an electronic medical record system so she has to do filing and uses a typewriter to create new charts.
Jacob Jeffrey (am session) has a co-op position at the Dow Bay Area Family Y where Mrs. Birchler saw him September 2018. Mrs. Birchler is always thinking about her am students because the pot of plants given to her in June is still blooming beautifully in the back yard.
Update from Emilie Seibert (pm session) received August 2018. Emilie plans to major in therapeutic recreation with a minor in psychology.
Update from Ethan Hayes (pm session) on July 27, 2018 while Mrs. Birchler was dining at Souper Kitchen where he was working: Ethan has enlisted in the army and will not be going to Delta College this fall.
